One of the South Carolina men accused of bilking investors out of millions of dollars has been committed to federal custody to undergo a mental evaluation.

Court records show U.S. Magistrate Joseph McCrorey on Wednesday ordered Joseph Brunson to be taken by federal agents to a prison in Butner, N.C., for a 45-day evaluation.
